Taiwanese pianist Wanching Liu performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Asia. She has been heard in New York, Washington DC, Baltimore (MD), College Park (MD), Brunswick (ME), Beijing and Taipei.
Wanching has been invited to participate in Bowdoin International Music Festival (ME) and International Keyboard Institute & Festival (NY). She has performed in master classes and coaching sessions with world-renowned musicians such as Martin Canin, Yury Aryapetyan, Alon Goldstein, Dmitry Rachmanov, Emerson String Quartet, Borromeo String Quartet and Ying Quartet.
Wanching achieved her Master Degree and Graduate Performance Diploma under the guidance of Alexander Shtarkman at Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from National Taiwan Normal University. She is a recipient of Taiwanese American Charity and Education Scholarship in 2014.
Wanching is currently pursing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Maryland with Larissa Dedova.
宛青先後畢業於三和國中音樂班、武陵高中音樂班及國立台灣師範大學, 並赴美於約翰霍普金斯大學琵琶第音樂院獲得碩士學位及演奏文憑。曾受教於布梭尼鋼琴大賽首獎得主Alexander Shtarkman、黃照容、林珮琪、鄭怡君及程彰老師。並曾接受Martin Canin, Yury Aryapetyan, Alon Goldstein, Dmitry Rachmanov, Emerson 弦樂四重奏, Borromeo 弦樂四重奏, Ying 弦樂四重奏等大師的指導。
宛青現為馬里蘭大學博士生, 師事萊比錫巴哈大賽得主Larissa Dedova。
